Behind every new idea is a dedicated team

David Günter has a B.Sc. in Biology and has been working on various research projects in the field of biotechnology since 2016. Together with Peter Fuß, he has developed an “ecosystem-on-a-chip” and various laboratory devices. In the course of these projects, the idea arose to develop an OoC device that for the first time enables the broad application of the technology in a wide range of areas – from basic research to drug development.

Carlotta Altringer has a B.Sc. in Biology and has experience in the biomedical field, especially in working with human cells and developing models for organ simulation (organoids), due to her involvement in various research projects (CECAD, Humboldt University, University Hospital Bonn) and other activities.

Peter Fuß is a trained industrial mechanic with many years of experience in mechanics and mechatronics. He has over 30 years of experience in the fields of mechanics, plant engineering and PCB design. He takes over production and works together with Caspar Kneer on the further development of the device.

Caspar Kneer has a strong engineering background, having studied medical technology (B.Sc.) and applied physics (M.Sc.). During his time at Forschungszentrum Jülich and Fraunhofer FHR, he gained many years of experience in translational research and device development.

Finn Rieken holds an M.Sc. in Molecular Biotechnology and is qualified in both biotechnology and entrepreneurship and innovation. He brings more than 10 years of experience in international corporate and innovation consulting in the life science industry and an impressive network to multinational companies and investors to the VitrofluidiX team.
